If you haven't been to Las Vegas, Nevada. You should go. If you have a family member or loved one that has Alzheimer, you should really go. There is an amazing building down in Las Vegas, Nevada, The Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. This building opened up May 21, 2010. Mr. Ruvo is one of the leaders in raising funds every year for Alzheimer Disease. I got the chance to see this building on a business trip to Las Vegas in 2011. I wept as I walked through the building and saw names of loved ones that had passed away. I was in the midst of loosing my grandma, but the time hadn't come yet. It was very powerful to be there in the presences of memories of loved ones along with a fantastic staff that let me know they were there if I had questions. Attached are images I took when walking the grounds of this wonderful building. If only this were a place my grandma and I knew about long before she was gone.
